G rasmere=s signature style is true English garden floral with strongly personal attention to the particulars. Our scope employs the grace and winsomeness of period flowers and special garden varieties. We endeavor to design artistically beautiful flowers with a strong emphasis on texture and colors whether in fresh delicate hues or the rich vibrant tones to be found only in an English country side. As much as the wedding celebration as a whole is a tapestry of individual elements forming a beautiful union, the floral design, as well, flows from a single unifying idea. From the beginning, the bride =s personal flowers are the primary focus of attention and provide the color palette and the style on which all other floral is based.Grasmere creates hand-tied bouquets adorned with elegant French wire ribbons, typically in European nosegay style. Floral headpieces, boutonnieres, corsages and attendant flowers are derived from the bridal bouquet, and thus, under the careful eyes of the designer, a unique coherent ensemble for the entire bridal party unfolds. Without a pause in the sway of the design, resplendent entrance ways and exceptional table arrangements in elegant cast iron urns, classic silver compotes or old-world style terra cotta containers greatly embellish the festive moment. A Grasmere wedding is always a highly individualized event. The installation is always done by the designers themselves and not 'jobbed-out' to a set-up crew, guaranteeing cohesiveness of composition and accuracy in the last-minute changes. Having made the decision to accept only one wedding for a week-end, we stayed true to the initial principle of Grasmere design which sets attention to the detail above the time constraints imposed by multiple bookings. Our design understands itself as the overarching part of the entire visual presentation. From linens, runners and gateway trimmings to the floral creations for the ceremonial location and the reception hall, Grasmere creates an appeal and atmosphere which flows from the lavishly grand to the preciously intimate, from unassuming elegance to splendid abundance.
