| The
canopy covers the bride and the groom as it
represents divine light. The light of the highest,
the light of deepest understanding, the light of
all creation. By the power of this symbolism, the
uppermost spreading branchy layer of tress with the rays of the sun
illuminating its green body we call the canopy of the forest.
