The Holiday Season at Grasmere is an elegant and magical time. Every year, Grasmere imports directly from Holland, Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland carefully chosen decor and gift articles for a true European Christmas: Austrian straw and wood stars, German hand blown glass and hand-crafted wood decor, ribbons from Switzerland and France, silk shawls from Germany and Dutch and Belgian tree trimmings to name a few.

At Grasmere, we fashion custom made wreaths, swags and garlands of specialty and aromatic greens like yellow tip cedar, blue squamata, incense cedar, Leyland cypress, hanoke, arborvitae, blueberry juniper, magnolia, seeded eucalyptus, blue privet and winter berry, all harvested in New England and crafted to your specifications. Many of our wreaths may be decorated with European paper mache fruit, hand sewn bows made of taffeta, silk or organza.

The Holiday Season is also a time of celebration at Grasmere. On occasion, musicians like Chris Turner and Rachel Maloney (below) of the Trinity Repertory Theatre Company play for the simple delight of the guests, and mulled cider and delectable cookies of local bakeries and cafes are being served from early November on throughout the joyous season.
