Dried Floral Arrangements

Grasmere wreaths are floribunda style and are made from fresh lemon leaf bases that are dried and preserved in place. Large blossoms of garden flowers are carefully placed into the round, and seeded eucalyptus, peonies, hydrangeas, echanops, lavender oregano, or poppy pods are added in large clusters. A more sculptural wreath is crafted with bundles of red birch twigs and of pussy willow, curly willow or manzanita relying on the sculptural character of the branches.

Reindeer moss wreaths, a specialty preserved lichen from Scandinavia, is sculpted around "Strohrömer" and usually finished with portrait style hanging ribbons leaving the subtle color and texture of the lichens be an astute geometric expression.

How long does dried floral last ?

We moved away from very small wreaths unless they are kept to a very concise and elegant format because we feel the busyness of small conventional wreaths not in keeping with the definite statements of the Grasmere style . We have replaced these small token-wreaths with a wire Victorian style mounted basket, designed in a full floral blend of garden blossoms.
