Sometimes things don't go as planned and life is always full of surprises or a few day's time just brought a change of mind. We at Grasmere would like you to feel comfortable to have us create a floral design for you or furnish you with a beautiful antique. It is for that reason that we established an easy to follow and objective return policy for you our customer. Should you have any questions about our return policy or other matters relating to shopping at Grasmere, please contact us via email or per telephone (401-247-2789) at your convenience. We will gladly answer your questions. All general merchandise
(with the exceptions listed) is backed
with Grasmere's Satisfaction Guarantee. Simply contact us within fourteen (14) days of shipping (consult the USPS or UPS date stamp) to arrange an exchange for a replacement of equal value. The shipping costs and possible insurance of the replacement item are the responsibility of the customer. Of course, you can also order a design of higher value and have the amount (less shipping charges) credited to the new ordered item. This is a one-time-only exchange. The returned item must reach Grasmere in the same condition as shipped. Please, make sure you re-pack the item carefully. After notification, the item must be shipped within seven (7) days (consult the USPS or UPS date stamp) to Grasmere. We will accept the shipping date of a returned item as measure of compliance or non-compliance with this item of the return policy. Please, make sure to call Grasmere to initiate the exchange or return.
What about custom design orders ? At Grasmere we specialize in custom work and understand the nature of individualized design. Prior to shipping, Grasmere will e-mail you the images of your item to prevent potential errors. Should there still be any design problem with the custom work, it may be mailed back to Grasmere for one (1) re-working of your item. The labor is included in the original price. Should you request extra materials, we will charge you for the additional materials only. Simply ship the item
back to us and we will contact you to discuss the the re-designing of your
item. Freight and insurance for the shipping of the
to-be-reworked custom design will be the customer's responsibility.
Once your order is placed and you decide to cancel within a 48-hour period, you will incur no cancellation fee and you will receive a full credit card refund. A fifty (50) percent deposit is taken at the writing of the order. After the 48-hour period, the deposit becomes non-refundable and no store (merchandise) credit will be issued. The custom design order will proceed as scheduled. Please, contact us if you have any questions. Requested "rush orders" (completed and shipped within a week) have a two (2)-hour cancellation period since materials needed for your design are being assembled/prepared/ordered as soon as possible and work on your design may start the same day. Once we have shipped your order (consult the USPS or UPS date stamp), you have fourteen (14) days to decide if you would like to return it for a refund (that is credit card refund). If you decide to return an item for a credit card refund and not opt to have the item reworked, you as the customer will be responsible for a restocking fee of fifteen (15) percent, It is required that the item is returned in its original condition. Grasmere is not responsible for the insurance of returned items. Due to the nature of some of our merchandise, there are exceptions to the general return and merchandise exchange policy:
Do I call you before returning or exchanging an item? Yes, please. Prior to returning an item, you must call or email us for a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). ALL ORDERS MUST HAVE AN RMA# TO BE ACCEPTED BY OUR SHIPPING DEPARTMENT. A charge for restocking of twenty (20) percent applies for the two following reasons.
We do not charge sales
tax, except on items shipped within Rhode Island. If you are a Rhode
Island resident, please add seven (7)
percent sales tax to the total
purchase price. If the carton has
external damage, the customer needs to note this on the delivery receipt.
This does not always mean there is damage to the contents, but if there
is, there is no problem filing a claim. Any errors or omissions will be corrected and either billed or refunded to the customer as necessary. If an order is incorrect, it is the responsibility of you the customer to notify us within 24 hours of our sending the order confirmation email to the customer. If you do not notify us within that time, the customer will be responsible for the order.
Any check returned by the bank will be subject to a $25.00 Processing Fee.
General merchandise purchased on the premise of 40 Maple Avenue in Barrington directly may be returned to the store for a merchandise credit (no cash or credit refunds) within ten (10) days when returned in same condition with the exceptions below.
